I know it is too late for me to be telling you this, but I have always used just good ole Mayo on burns.
Not sure what is in it but it calms it down almost immediately and prevent blistering.
Sounds crazy I know, but it works every time....and unfortunately I have burnt myself on numerous
occasions while cooking, I am clumsy by nature....hahahahah.
But I am glad you were able to get it calmed down and will be calling the doctor tomorrow.
