Default Thank you MrsD

I am a quilter and love working with beautiful fabrics. I have only been quilting for a few years, trying to remember when I started. I am probably the world's slowest quilter, but I really enjoy it.

I just got a longarm Gammill machine a couple of months back and am attempting to learn how to use it.

Quilting can be very relaxing-I think it is a great prescription for getting one's mind off of their health issue... Try it... It is addictive!!! Then you can have a fabric stash like me...

I don't think you have to do anything special to learn how to quilt. You can buy a beginner's book and probably do very well this way. My friend and I took a beginning quilt class though, and learned a lot of the basics in this manner.

Learning to use a longarm, I think, is going to be a horse of a different color... I will need more instruction than the books offer...

Nice to see a place where you all are posting...
