Glad to hear things went well! Hope things stay nice and quiet for a long time for you after this bit!

The sling is a good tool for the first couple-three weeks if he is going to be standing for long, and definitely out and around people to keep the arm from being bumped. But sitting or lying down I wouldn't use it, prop the arm on pillows instead, and encourage gentle range of motion exercises 2-3 times a day so he doesn't get a frozen shoulder. That will make the recovery much more painful and prolonged!

I agree w/ Tam, Tv and movies are good, I would hold off on computer or hand-held games at least til he gets Dr's ok.

Hope you both are able to get some sleep!
