She was the light of my life and things just haven't been the same since. Okay.....blab....blab....blab......
Yes, that was my dog. He died in March of 2006. (he was nine) His name was TinyMonsters.

He's a Bouvier des Flandres. They're bred to use as cattle dogs/sheep herding dogs in Belgium. They're also used/were used as milk cart dogs and in WWI and WWII they were messenger dogs and ambulance dogs for the Allies. (helped find wounded and dead soldiers)

The Germans had a standing order to shoot the dogs on sight in WWI. Nearly wiped out the breed. The breed was starting to come back in WWII, and then Hitler decided he wanted a "Master Race" of dogs. Bouviers were one of the breeds he looked at. The day he was shown the Bouvier was not a good day for the breed. Hitler was looking at the dog they brought him, and he was impressed...until he reached his hand out to pet the dog, and the dog bit him in the hand! (good dog!) Hitler put out a standing order to shoot Bouviers on sight again.

The breed survived both wars, and some were brought to the States. They're still not a very popular breed (which is good, they dont get over bred that way) I think it's one of the most perfect breeds of dog. I really loved mine.

My parents (I live at home) and I have been talking about getting another dog. I have to make sure that I'm not allergic to dogs (we tried to get a Yorkie Terrier a week after Tiny died. I had a bad allergic reaction to him and we returned the dog)

I'm thinking about getting a large Poodle. I like the idea of large dogs. My first two dogs were small. (a Yorkie and a minature Poodle) TinyMonsters was my first large dog, and I found out that I like the big guys the best. My poodle was a great watch dog, and was pretty smart, so I'm going to look for a larger poodle.

I think I'd love to get another Bouvier, but they're fairly rare here in Omaha, and Tiny's breeder hasnt bred her dogs for a few years (she only breeds them when she thinks she can better the breed) I dont really want to travel to go get another dog.

I am thinking of getting a Pug instead tho...my aunt has a Pug (Pudge, she was Tiny's best friend) and I just love Pugs as much as I love Bouviers.

With my mom not being very strong, we really should get a smaller dog (Tiny had pulled her down once when he was on lead, and my mom ended up with cracked ribs and sprained shoulder) I'd love to get a large Poodle, but the whole thing about it being able to pull my mom down is probably going to be what keeps me from doing that. My mom does not have the best judgement when it came to taking Tiny outside on a leash. We wouldnt let her.

If we get a little dog, I wont have to worry about her getting knocked down. I'll just have to worry about the dog getting run over because she didnt put a leash on it. (our yard isnt fenced) The other plus about getting a little dog is that my mom will be able to help take care of the dog. It wont just be me taking care of it this time. (Tiny was a one person dog, and I was his person. I couldnt leave the house sometimes because he'd miss me that much if I was gone for more than 5 hours)
