My boys...
My dogs are adopted, and I thought I'd share their stories.
Ozzy
When met my new SIL we also met her tiny pomeranian, Missy. That little dog was so mellow, so friendly, everyone fell in love with her. She was like a Lab in a pocket sized dog. Not clingy and yappy, like some are (not that I mind that, lol).
So dd asked if we'd get her a dog like that for her next BDay. My SIL said Missy was from the pound! I was shocked. A 4lb dog that was dumped at the pound - who could do that?
I looked at around 5,000 pix on petfinder - no kidding. Then I saw this puppy. Talked Dh into driving to FT Wayne Indiana to pick him up.
This 9 wk old had no hair on his tail or ears, that's why the breeders left him at the pound and the rescue folks found him. Thank goodness. He was maybe .5lb. He looked so afraid and sad. And when we held him the 1st time - the adoption was in a pet store - all the customers that passed made comments about how tiny and cute he was, and they wanted our puppy.
DD said no way, he was hers! lol
That was 2.5 yrs ago. He's 11lbs and has plenty of hair now.
Ozzy is really more my dog now, he spends all day with me. He is not a sweet little thing like Missy. He's a mean little snot.
.
But while he doesn't love everybody, he does love me.
