Yea, I am 59. I think that time has long gone. But no, I have always been this way. Yes, I had one child, a girl, but because of things beyond my control it didn't turn out very well. Long, sad story I really don't want to get into. I thought I was doing everything right for her but according to her I was horrible. I don't know why she hates me now. I have heard that if your children hate you when they grow up, you did a good job, whatever that means. I know I felt like I hated my mother when I grew up too and the way my mother talked about her mother, I think she hated her too. Seems mothers and daughters in our family just didn't click too well.
