Frown need to vent, and a little support

Ok, for those of you who don't know me, try to keep up. For those who do, follow along.

My DW has been working since October as a customer service agent for a major insurance company. Just before she started she had her third brain surgery for hydrocephelas. This time they put a V/P shunt in to drain excess h2o into her abdomen. Since that surgery, her concintration is very low, her energy is low, and has had some personality changes. Don't get me wrong, I love her more than ever and that won't change.

Her employer told her today she wasn't doing her work to department standards. They gave her today off to come home and think about if this is a good job for her. It is the best paying job she has ever had which ain't much) and the benefits are great. My medicare starts in May. I have multiple problems and health care is very important for us.

I told her if she can stick it out for another month, I will apply for state medicaid. I am very supportive but if she loses this job, I feel she should apply for SSDI and stay home. She has had difficulty with jobs and I truely feel after this last brain surgery, she doesn't have the concintration to work anymore. We are only 38 years old. Little young to retire poor, but I think that is on the horizon.

Thoughts and prayers appreciated.
