I have a daughter who is left handed when the whole rest of the family is right handed. I've no idea where her's came from either.
There weren't any right handed/left handed problems in her early years, but I must admit I came unglued when I tried to teach my daughter how to knit! I failed miserably!
The only tips I remember is to use a mirror. .......that way they see what we're doing in the exact opposite. (I still failed with the knitting thing)
Edit: While we're on this, I think it'd be interesting to find out if you get most of your symptoms on your dominant or non dominant side?
I'm right handed, and most of my exacerbations have affected my left side. Not all, but most.
