The fact that you are only smelling this when you open the fridge, leads me to believe that there is something (in/around the fridge) that has just not been found yet. Sounds like your nose is just very sensitive, like mine, and picking up on something your husband's isn't.

Have you looked in the freezer? Is there some vegetable combination (cabbage, brocolli, cucumber) that might be bothering you (and not him)?

When I go through a period where I get "the smells" (from MS), they happen wherever I might be in the house or yard, not just in one location.

Thanks I did notice it in the freezer this morning when I got the ice pack out for DD lunch so I put some baking soda in there before I left.

I'll go thru the freezer tonight to see whats in there. It is garbage day today.

At this point I'm tempted to just throw every thing away and start over, not practicle I know but I can't take much more of this.

Though it is quite effective at keeping me from snacking at night .
