one of my friends just finished a big , big quilt in honor of her nephew who passed in the 9-11 tragedy (N.Y.F.D.) he also had aids and her quilt is a beautiful tribute to him and aids awareness and also those lost on 9-11.
I myself do not sew or anything but it is a big craft with many groups and clubs here in Florida. and I go to the shows amazed at how wonderful the quilts look and feel . a scarp of this and a scrap of that . . . sewn together and a master piece appears. one of you should post a pic of your quilting.
