I know you have all heard about Ken's RollingOverALS tour. He is our very own KenSr. I wonder if you have ever stopped to think about exactly what he is doing for us. In an effort to raise awareness of ALS, I'm sure you are aware that he will ride his wheelchair from Orlando, FL all the way to Washington DC in time for ALS Advocacy Day.
PLEASE THINK ABOUT THE FOLLOWING:
1. The tour will cover 940 miles
2. There are planned 17 travel days
3. That's over 55 miles PER day
4. At 5mph, that is 11 HOURS travel time PER day
5. That bears repeating... Ken will be traveling 11 HOURS PER DAY to raise awareness for our cause
6. Multiple wheelchair batteries will be required
7. Who knows how many tires will be used
8. A hotel room will be needed EVERY night
Now Ken is a grown man and knew what he was getting into but he has a passion to make a difference. Wouldn't it be nice for all of us to do a little to help? Here are some ideas how:
