Hi Queen,
I had ulner nerve surgery but had a block to keep it from spreading to that area. My RSD came with Thoracic Surgery and then came back out with rotator cuff surgery after having blocks to get it into remission.
I now have blocks before any surgery where blocks are offered. I think blocks are important to keep it from spreading with surgeries. There is a big possibility you got it with the Ulner nerve surgery.
You didn't say where you had to put the patch. Was it on the elbow or elsewhere?
As far as noise. I can't handle a lot of noise, I can't handle smells. I made a pot of chili yesterday and had to turn it off last night before bedtime and put it in the fridge to get rid of the smell. I had it simmering in the crock pot. I have to do the same with beans. Smells are multiplied 10 fold for me. Noise is the same way. The boys stay with me and I can here them whispering from my bedroom at times. They sure can't get away with much. LOL
I get the cramps in my calves at night and my legs too. I get electrical shocks also. It feels like I am plugged in to a socket.
I don't know if what I have is hot flashes or has to do with my meds. In the summertime they are horrible. In the winter they are tolerable. When it is hot I start getting more electical zaps and more pain.
It's very hard to get any relief with RSD. Hope you start getting some soon though.
