Oh man, a few weeks ago my son had an infection that needed antibiotics on a Saturday morning. The doctor couldn't tell me if the antibiotic was gluten-dairy-corn-free, and neither could the pharmacist, and neither could the company that makes the medicine. Plus, one of the inactive ingredients in it was xanthan gum, which supposedly has traces of corn, and so I normally would never feed it to my son. But I figured that traces of corn weren't as bad as continuing to have the infection, and so I went ahead and let him have the antibiotic anyway, mystery ingredients and all. But I am *so* frustrated that I can't find out what's in this stuff. I don't know what people with life-threatening food allergies *do* when they need medication. It's just crazy. :-(
