Oh, I had a simular exprence. I have IBS and I thought I was going to have an accident! My stomach was just rolling. But I made it through.

I have not had any trouble with the actual process of the MRI's. I just do not like laying there inside of the tube. I had two brain MRI's and one C-spine. This next one is a T-spine. I wonder how mixed up my brain must be when I lay there with those big magnets whirling around my head making all of that noise!

The spinal MRI's werent too bad. They did strap me down for the second one. I almost freaked out during the second spinal MRI because after they got the gadolinium in there, I really really really really had to go potty. They knew, and when they finally came and got me out, they had to help me sit up because my back was so sore from laying there...I barely made it to the potty because my back hurt so bad. And some kid was headed for it at the same time. They stopped her because it was the only toilet they had in the MRI "shop". Told the kid that I had priority because I just spent an hour or two in the big magnet. Little brat stood there kicking the door...I took my time.

I hate the brain MRI's because I have a thing about being tied down, and especially have a thing about being restrained in a small space (got locked in a locker at the YMCA once, for about 20 minutes) I will only do another brain MRI if they can drug me with something. (preferabbly Versed, because it has amnesiac properties)
