Interesting about the nursing comments...
Way back, when I went to school - Nursing was my number 1 choice and I took the preliminary course - a year of Anatomy/Physiology, Microbiology and all the the general stuff - psych courses and sociology and such.
When it came down to going into the full time curriculum however, I could not manage the schedule (or would not) because I had 2 young children and needed more flexibility in my time. Consequently, I went with my second choice - Computer Science.
I have always known Nursing was where I belonged, but, if I had gone into Nursing - I would have had to stop working many, many years ago because of the very things that you all mentioned.
As bad of a mistake as taking down an entire training session full of users was, nobody's life was at risk (except mine - LOL).
I "try" to keep things in perspective and also - whereas I can try to laugh about some of the ridiculous mistakes I have made (it's laugh or cry) but in medicine - any mistake - is NO laughing matter !!!
So I remind myself that I am thankful that I can hang onto my job for now and I will just have to keep working on the memory issues.
