Hey Nancy, the middle incision is the leads stimulating the spinal cord. The other is your battery. Your so lucky that they want to put more programs in yours. I waited 3 or 4 months and then they sent someone else that I don't know and never checked me again. I will never forget it as it was in me almost a yr. My surgery didn't hurt that much. I was use to back surgeries and they are a nightmare. Good luck Nancy!
