Yes until you are sure its dry. If you have it closed when wet it can
give clothes a musty smell.
I also periodically run an empty load
with vinegar or bleach. Also dont leave clothes sitting overnight in the
washer, they start to stink quickly. I try to dry them right away.
But all in all, I love mine.
