I have a Spinal Cord Stim and I love it! I know that the prospect of the trial sounds scary- wires in the spine! yikes!- but it really isn't as bad as it sounds. After you wake up from having the wires put in place, you don't notice them that much. I mean, you don't go to the beach or anything because you have these wires hanging out of you but it's worth it. Think about it this way- there's a 50% chance that it could work and make your pain significantly better! I couldn't get by without mine. In fact, I have gone through several revision surgeries to fix leads that broke or moved--> all because it is so worth it to have a functioning SCS. I hope that this gives you something to feel positive about. Sometimes having an option to do something is all we need to keep going.
