I started to turn grey at age 39 when my health problems started. My natural color is brown with red highlights.

At first, I had it colored to match my natural color but the grey hair would start showing through. It stuck out so bad with my dark color. My hair stylist said it was because the grey was a different texture and didn't hold the color as well. I wanted to go lighter but she said it would turn brassy on my dark hair. I kept going to her for years until she moved her salon.

I got a new hair stylist 7 years ago. I am now blonde with brown highlights and have a new hair style that is so easy to take care of. I started out with just a few blonde highlights to hide the grey and got finally got the nerve to make the change. I love getting my hair done, it's one of my favorite things.
