Finny, I shudder to even *think* of getting on a treadmill!
I remember trying to join a clinical trial way back in the mid 90s.
they had us walk up and down a hall until we couldn't go any more.
I scored too high to be part of the trial... ah, the good ol' days!
update on the wood-nymph hippie-chick au-naturel duck-nest in a tree-trunk:
after I saw how hard our duck was working to make herself a natural-type nest, we decided to help her out a bit.
first, Amelio cut some palm fronds:
then, we gathered some sticks and branches...
and we built a little shelter over the nest, so the duck won't have to sit in the rain.
Muscovy Ducks spend one to two weeks laying an egg every day...
here's what she's laid so far:
ducks sit on their nests for THIRTY FIVE days straight, with only two short "bathroom breaks" per day.
during those breaks, they have to quickly find food, and get back to the nest, to keep the eggs warm.
so... I've begun making daily corn & cabbage deliveries to the pond area, to make things easier for our hard-workin' lady.
