My mother has been gone for thirty years in April. The first of April, of all days. But that is another story.
However, I still look in the mirror and can see my mother, even though I am now older that what she was when she died.
I learned from both of my parents how to behave. I think I learned more from my mom 'cause my dad was always working or busy. Like most mothers she was the primary care giver.
So, when you ask, "Are you turning into your Mom yet? " You betcha, a long, long time ago. Probably around the time I got married and started having kids. I hear her in my voice and I see her in my actions.
I can only hope I am growing old in the way she would have approved.
