I saw a show this week on Discovery channel (maybe it was the Sc channel)..on transgenic animals.
For example, salmon which grow 4-6 times larger faster than normal salmon (to help with providing food).
Near the end of the show was a mouse... developed for something else, I missed that part---that when you punch a hole in its ear, it regrows the ear. Not a scar. This was found by accident, and now they are studying it as a regenerating mouse. It was said to be the first mammal regeneration documented.
