I wonder if one of those full-spectrum lights might not help? I know that they help people with SAD, and I've used them in the past to deal with what I call my Fall Flu, when I get tired, achy, and a bit ditzy every day at the same time during October.

The thing I bought was (relatively) portable -- well, it had a handle on it and was about the size of a briefcase -- and called a "happylite."

The name is a bit odd -- it sounds like something that's installed over Winston Smith's bed and doesn't have an off switch, frankly. But it helps. Might be worth seeing if you can snag one (I don't recall them being expensive) and give it a test-drive next fall ... ?
