My cardiologist recommended "Complimentary RX" Red Yeast Rice (RYR) because that is what the pharmacy at Scripps Integrative Medicine sells. I couldn't find the brand on the web, so I submitted the question below to NOW Foods, Inc. Their reply is part of the quote below.

Your Message: My cardiologist recommended 2,400 a day of Red Yeast Rice.
I asked which brand, and he recommended "Complimentary RX" because it is
tested for purity and potency. The concern is that virtually all Red
Yeast Rice comes from China, with problematic quality control. My
question is, is NOW Foods Red Yeast Rice tested for purity and potency? Thanks for your reply.
