While I agree the best answer would be to try correct the source of the problem, sometimes that's not possible or practical. With MS and Fb, unfortunately there is pain that can not be "fixed". That was true of my sciatica as well.
That leaves the options of getting pain relief by way of medications, PT and/or TENS. I prefer not to use medications because my body is too sensitive to them . . . so that's why I chose PT and TENS.
