I'll reiterate:
First off, i don't know any tips for dealing with Chemo, except for the most important one that she already has acted on: connect with a close friend who can support you through it. I'm glad she has a caring friend in you.
Secondly, I don't know if you ever check in on the mgh Child Neurology board but there is a dear lady there, Pansy, who has walked this path before...twice actually. If you'd like to contact her I think she could be a wonderful support and source of information.
I know that this second go-round (metastacized to spine) she researched and chose to utilize a Flax seed diet, with great success. She's a beautiful soul. You might try looking her up?
I think there are others there who've also had chemo for BC.
