I just went through something similar with my father. He was down to 140 lb [usually 175] and not eating. He is 83, but exercised [walking] most of his life. it ended up being one of his meds conflicting with another.
We had the hospital bed, portable toilet, nurse coming in, therapists, etc. Once a family member questioned the med, a conflict was found and now all the equipment, and people are gone. He feels better and is eating well and it happened immediately.
He's 83, he doesn't need any help dying! SOmething could go wrong at any time, but what a shame, at ANY age, for it to be a medical mistake.
