about all I'd suggest is keep in touch with the doctor that did your gamma knife. I've had TN for 10 yrs, but mine is more of the atypical type. I have very little of the lightning type shooting pains...more of just the level 5 pain on a scale of 1-10. Did the gamma work at all for you?
From others that are in my local support chapter thru TNA..about all they can do at the point of pain being so intense that it prevents one from sleeping is give you something strong enough to knock you out and hopefully ease the pain that way.
There's a TN forum on here, you might get some help from there, wish I could be of more help other than to send some prayers of relief your direction
