I have a friend who hurt himself while riding motorcycles, then after a few months he had lower back pains, then Vertigo hit him.

He was a pilot in KC-135s at that time and he was grounded immediately. This was almost 24 years ago. He demanded to be released from the military and that was the last time I saw him. I went back overseas and we never heard from him again.

Sorry, not sure that helped medically, but he had severe trauma to his lower back (motorcycle bounced him over the handlebars and he landed with a basketball sized rock in his lower back) and then got the Vertigo. We all figured he had messed up his CNS in some way, but the medical world wasn't up to fixing it then.

I hope they are now. If I had Vertigo, I would be afraid to drive. Hopefully you can feel these "attacks" in enough time to park your car or sit down at home, etc.

I can email some of my flying buddies from those days if you want, most are flying for the airlines, so I don't know if they would have kept up with him.

Good Luck with it.
