a GOOD doc is one who LISTENS well.
treats the patient with RESPECT and patience.
and... actually remembers the patient from one visit to the next.
he/she is open to learning new things.
and studies continually, and doesn't think they already KNOW it all.
I tend to ignore the personal stuff as well...
one of the BEST docs we had was involved in a messy marriage and divorce.
