since your injurys are rather recent, give your body & brain time to heal-REST
be gentle & kind to self;
try to learn all can about TBI

Yes it can take months to recover and many do. Others sadly have problems that persist, present challenges, incl. finding treatmts or understanding...
Headaches were one of the WORST, most debilitating Sx for me for many months. Seldom did any meds help -from rescue types to prohylactics.
My problems stem from injury to cervical spine & spasms.
I also had problems w/ nausea & vomiting that eventually improved. Helped by RX meds (Compazine, others)
Dizziness, vertigo is also a commonly reported problem.
there are many who've found help & treatmts .... but it can be a frustrating processes...
