That's a tremendous waste of money what all autistics need are consistently cool, calm people, compatible to each, compassionate people, willing to get to know the autistic, willing to learn how the particualr autistic communicates, where their interest lies, and after building rapport and trust to guide them through every aspect on life.

Those good staff knew that singing made the autistic happy, they responded to soft talking, they knew that they reflected their emotional state so staff were happy, all smiles and the autistic responded in kind.

The autistic are people-dependent, they need good people not pills.

They should invest money in salaries for those people willing to be companions for the autistic.

I remember some staff were willing to divide their week at 2 days and half to give as consistent, even care for my son and for others. They noticed that some of the autistics got along so they were willing to work 1 to 2, which was much cheaper. Or, 2 to 3, that means there were 6 staff around the clock caring for 9 and plenty of activities willing to share, etc.

Good people makes a difference.
