waves back at Bizi. *grin...the more I read, the less I know...ie...dressings labeled "light" can be lower in either fat or calories or both. fat-free dressings are plentiful, but not nearly as tasty as "light" varieties. And they don't provide the fat that helps absorb fat-soluble nutrients, like vitamins A & E, and phytonutrients, like carotenoids, typically found in salad ingredients like dark leafy greens, carrots, nut and the oil itself.
