Hi Ziora,
I am sorry to hear of your daughter's brain injury. I had an Aquired Brain Injury, colloid cyst of the third ventricle (benign brain tumor) removed Nov 2000. I underwent emergency neurosurgery to remove the tumor, and had extensive rehabilitation afterwards. I was a patient on a brain injury unit at a local rehab hospital where I relearned to talk and organize my thoughts so I could have some ability to remember.

I had a lot of help and support from my local Brain Injury Association. Every state has one. (number should be in your phonebook)

Rehabilitation is key. Your daughter is very young. The brain has a wonderful way of "re-wiring" thus allowing for new learning.

Please search the net for Brain Injury resources. There are many available.

Best wishes for healing for your daughter, Dodi
