Erin,
I have had those awful charlie horses from Heck also, even before I was diagnosed with MS.
Mine are usually caused when I don't have enough calcium. I am a big milk drinker and times when I do not drink enough, I usually have the charlie horses.
You may also want to be sure you are getting enough potassium....think bananas.
Picture this......18 foot camper...DD asleep in fold out bunk over our bed...DS asleep in dinette bed.. DH asleep beside me. I get the Charlie horse from He!!. I can't get up and walk [very limited space]which usually helps, I can't put my let straight up and push or I would have enfolded DD in the bunk! So I lay there in agony until it eases. Then I realize I have not been drinking much milk!! For two days afterwards my muscle was very sore.
So the point of the post is this....with taking the antibiotics after the dental work, your electrolytes may be slightly off which could cause the charlie horses
Hope this helps and your are feeling better
Enjoy the concert!!
PS You mentioned your dad is a CRNA....so is my DH.
My DS is pre med in college planning to become an anesthesiologist. I think he just wants Dad to work for him!!
