Two things strike me:

Some of us (me) have a hard time when there are more than two or three in the chat room at once. Sensory overload. Brain freeze. I am more apt to visit for a little while with one or two people. No offense!

The other thing is that it seems as though you need to go to the lounge and just hang out for a few minutes until somebody notices there's someone there! Your little number "1" in the parentheses announce "I'm here and I want to talk!"
