searchbots appear as guests, Cindy but most of the guests are actually readers who have found the topics on Google etc, placed there by the very bots that have been our guests
that's how many people find the forums.

stats show that more people read forums than become members, whether that they just need specific info or prefer to stay private readers rather than join and post

short answer...some of the "lurkers" are friendly bots but most are actual guests
