This goes hand in hand with Von's "Debt Diet" thread -- we originally had these threads elsewhere and got a lot of good tips. It ranged from things like cutting dryer sheets in half to saving on buying food, etc. Anyway, a thread in the front room made me think to revive the thread. When shopping online, here are two good tips:

www.retailmenot.com -- this site has a lot of current coupon codes for online stores. I almost always look here before buying online.

www.ebates.com - this site is great. It has a TON of stores most of us use. (You'll be surprised!) You just sign into your ebates account and then access the store you want through ebates and it opens a new window -- an ebates "ticket". Depending on the store, there are varying cash back amounts. The cash back is credited to your account and then ebates sends you a check. If you sign up through a referral you'll get $5.00 credit in your account immediately -- and so will the person who referred you. If you know someone on ebates, have them send you an invite or ask for their url. (For those of you who don't know someone with an account, I've included my url in my profile.) After you get your own account, spread the word to your friends and you'll both be credited after the first purchase is made. You can even start a train on this board with a board buddy --have someone sign up (preferably using a referral so you can get $5 back right away) and then they can use yours and pass it forward, etc.
