Parkinson Society Canada (PSC) is launching a new bilingual advertising campaign to create more awareness of Parkinson's disease and to provide the Canadian public with an understanding of the daily struggle people with Parkinson's experience. The campaign which includes television and print, coincides with Parkinson's Awareness month and was created with the help of one of Canada's leading creative agencies, TAXI 2. PSC hopes that these new ads will draw attention to just how difficult Parkinson's can be and to dispel the myth that this lesser known disease is just a minor inconvenience.
The campaign theme, "What would you do if your body turned against you?" focuses on the struggle of over 100,000 Canadians with Parkinson's. With an aging population, the number of Canadians with Parkinson's over the age of 65 is expected to double by 2013.
