Lightbulb hormone issues...

long term use of opiates disturbs the hypothalamic/pituitary axis and
changes (lowers) hormone levels.

Some people then lose hair when hormone levels fall. You can be tested to
see if this is happening.

Also other drugs used in combination may do it. As well as low thyroid.
Certain nutritional deficiencies, low zinc, low protein, low biotin, can affect hair.
