Tricky question. A lot of the time I am "at" but not "on" the computer. My desk is by the window, and I more or less park here off and on during the day. The computer might be running, but I'm not necessarily using it!
I am serious about checking my email. Unless something hinders me, I check it at least in the morning and evening, and usually once in the middle of the day. I don't like to miss anything.
In the morning I check the weather, the local news site, Google news, my granddaughter's facebook page, my two daily comics (Pickles and Dilbert), "Dead or Alive" to see whose birthday it is, ebay (if I've got something coming or going), NT, MSWorld, and two religious groups.
On work days, I'm probably "on" for a half hour in the morning, maybe an hour at night. Week-end or "off" days, maybe twice that.
Probably add a few hours a week for when I'm shopping, researching something, or working offline (such as writing, doing the church bulletin, letters, etc.)
I don't think I'm addicted, but I surely would hate to be without it! Especially on days when I don't feel well and want to connect with empathetic people, such as yourselves.
