My daughter had times that she does that. I'm not sure what it is, but she did it in the neuro's office once. Usually when she does this, I try to distract her from what she was going to say.
That day she was trying to ask the neuro a question. She started and stopped and started and stopped. I tried to help her out. The neuro told me to just wait. To let her keep going.
My husband explained to the neuro that she does that sometimes. He explained that he had been worried it was a type of seizure. The neuro just watched her. He never said anything except that he was glad that he had gotten to see it.
To this day I do not know what it is. The neuro did not do anything differently. He did a complete neuro exam on her that day.
I'm not sure if he felt it was a type of seizure or not.
I guess I should ask him about it in May.
I would definately check with the neuro.
