I'll keep your Mom in my prayers Sandy. It's so difficult knowing what to do when they're ill. I remember about a year before my Mom was DX'd with Alzheimer's. The phone rang about 3am and it was my Mom. When I answered she asked when I was going to pick her up, she'd been waiting in the lobby of her building with her coat on for awhile.
I said Mom are you ok? There was a brief silence and she said yes, why? I told her what time it was. She got a bit flustered and said, DON'T TELL YOUR SISTER. My sister lived nearby her.
I begged her to go back to bed and she agreed. I lived an hour away and I felt so helpless.
I hope it's just something minor with your Mom. Would assisted living be an option for her?
I remember when my Dad started getting lost when he was driving. It was a great struggle to get him to give it up.
I'll be thinking about you and your Mom, try not to worry too much!
