Ah yes, wonder no more. Av8rgirl knows the history of the Blue Turf at Boise State. Since I am a graduate of Boise State, I know the whole history of the "Smurf Turf."

I came into being in 1986. BSU colors are blue and orange and it was voted in since the cost to replace the green astro turf was the same as blue astroturf. Boise wanted to make a statement - here we are!! And it has remained!

It is unique! After the famous Bowl game, we have become known as the school with the blue football field everywhere!
