A suggestion on records - I have several very different but important issues - that require different specialists.... what I've found is if I take a prepared two page medical history on my first visit (I just keep on my computer and update) - and just bullet summary of "current issues" (your reported symtoms), and then elaborate only in the area I'm going to see them in this section - then list "current illnesses" (those you have been diagnosed with and when), "surgureies (list and when done)", "past medical illnessess", "social history", and brief "family medical history" - I save myself a great deal of time..,. (as a new paitent they should ask you all this - they usually just dictate mine directly to my chart) -and while I do have all my records in binders, there are way too many and types for a specialist to look over... I'll therefore take only a few what I feel are relevant copies for the specilaist with me to the appt... and yes, I keep the spreadsheets updated too - but take them only the page (s) that may apply.... if they want to see any other tests they ask me- and I get them the copies I have in the binders at home and send to them...

The more conditions you present with - the more complicated you seem to be - the more work it means for them - and unfortuantely "too complicated" (too much work translation) for most docs to either want or have the time to handle....

On finding a GP - suggest talking with them first - they should be the gatekeeper and be willing to take on a complicated patient - they are crucial - so if the first few dont seem willing to spend time (and ask them up front) I suggest going elsewhere until you can find one that will be willing to oversee all your care.....

Hang in there
