Hi Mark,
It's too bad that she treated you this way. I do hope you find another Dr. soon that will give you the respect you deserve. I don't mention the forum to any Drs. I have.
My thought is on this is that they feel like if they are not doing us any good and they get frustrated then they turn it around and make it about us. So blaming us for being on the internet and picking up on things is the excuse they will use.
My PA said last week that she would like to see Drs. give patients a better quality of life since they are living longer these days instead of just trying to keep them alive.
As I told her, I feel like nowadays Drs. are seeing so many people that are permanently ill that it's became a thing of normalcy to them. In other words, it's normal for us to be in the shape we are in because so many are. They have become more laid back with their medical care.
I have ran into a Dr. or two like that. One was at the U of C. My caregiver was with me and we both wrote letters about how he treated me.
I ran into one similar last Wed. Another thing since their insurance has gone up so high, they are so reluctant to do anything for anyone and with having to answer for giving hard core drugs so much anymore doesn't help how the patient is getting treated.
I do hope you find a good Dr. that will help you and after you get one lined up, I would write this lady Dr. a letter about how you felt about how she treated you. I would wait until you get another Dr. though, due to your records being sent to them. She might blackball you or put the letter in the file that goes out to your new Dr. I think they need to know how they are treating the patient when they are in the wrong.
Don't stress too much over this. I know it's hard not to but you don't want to get in a total flare due to it.
Have a good day.
