Sorry for your troubles. I went through the same thing approx 8 years ago. I had to leave my then-wife AND MY 2 YEAR OLD SON!!! Talk about ripping your heart out. And on top of that...PD.
However, I am writing to tell you there IS life after divorce. You WILL come out the other end. You WILL be happy again...in time.
In the meantime, I always felt some comfort from an old Chinese proverb:

Better alone than poorly accompanied.
