Renee---
I can so empathize with your situation. I am also a military spouse and am currentlly dealing with the same woes of in terms of pcp's (don't ya love how long it takes to get into touch with--much less a visit-- with your pcp and that u usually end up seeing a different doctor each time ); "different" interpretations of tests results, being shuffled from person to person-- and almost having to be to see specialists, meds and all sorts of things.....

My suggestion is to see if the doctor you see/trust most can prescribe your meds-- or at least the majority of them. My neurologist prescribes the majority of my medications; and my pcp prescribes the "easy" ones such as my allergy meds and a few other meds that my neuro doesnt want to monitor (such as my apetite stimulant) or is completely un neuro related. Occasionally my other specialists will prescribe meds-- but they are usually not long term ones; generally speaking, my neuro is in charge of most of my meds. It just works out better that way.

Another suggestion: go to the radiology department and request a copy of your CT scan--- both the disk and the report. I always request copies of all diagnostic tests (x-rays/lab work, etc) as soon as they become avaliable AND visit notes when the doctor finishes writing them and entering them into the computer. It's a way I keep tabs on things-- making sure I know the test results-- the radiologists interpretation; and exactly what went on during my dr visits so I can ask questions or get things corrected if I have concerns.....

Good Luck !

Btw-- to everyone else-- I apologize for jumping into the conversation without much introduction (i do post from time to time on other threads)--- this post just caught my eye today.
