Default Neurologist visit

I had my neurologist visit yesterday to get the results of my lumbar puncture she did on April 11th. She said that the results of the lumbar puncture and blood work confirmed her initial diagnosis of MS.

She gave me an extra copy of the lab report. In the CSF description it said In the CSF lane faint oligoclonal bands are identified in this region and in the CSF Elec Interp it said CSF protein electrophoresis shows presence of faint oligoclonal bands. The CSF InG index is makedly elevated indicating a significant increase in the intracerebral InG synthesis There is no evidence of increased permeability of the blood brain barrier. These results in a proper clinical setting are consistent with presence of an oligoclonal process in the CNS.

I asked her if it could mean anything else and she said that the results confirmed her initial diagnosis. I am waiting to see if my insurance company will approve her first choice of medication Rebif.
