Hi there.
I have degenerative joint disease and Type 2 diabetes.
Last week I was bent like a pretzel, then the weather got nice, I stood up straight.
Yesterday, I was absolutely fine, went around the corner, again, absolutely fine, then a few rain drops fell, then the sun came out, and my thigh and left hip went nuts. I have had sciatica in the past, so I could only assume, that with the 5 minute drop in the barometer, my body just felt it.
couldn't walk good last night.
I did some simple stretching, that felt good.
Right now, it's freezing outside (FREEZING, ON MAY 9TH, would you believe this). It's raining, it's awful, but I knew that if I did not get out of bed, and do my simple stretching, my whole body would pay for it.
I did my thing, walked around the corner to Dunkin Donuts for my usual morning coffee, and I was surprised that I COULD EVEN WALK.
So I know pain, and I know diabetes.
I'm on 22 of the Lantus and doing quite good. I changed my whole way of eating.
So how are you tackling your diabetes??
Take care,
Melody
